Smart Events is a unified event management ecosystem that helps organizers and attendees connect seamlessly before, during, and after an event. The product had to serve two very different needs: organizers needed complex control to manage logistics at scale, and attendees needed a frictionless, fast-loading ticketing and scheduling experience. I was responsible for designing the entire platform, with a focus on its core differentiator a synchronized web, mobile, and dashboard ecosystem.

At the center of that was the live ticketing and on-site scanning infrastructure, a system that lets attendees navigate multi-track schedules while organizers track real-time capacity. To design it, I had to rethink how data flows during a live conference including how tickets are validated offline, how personal agendas adapt contextually, and how analytics aggregate in real-time. I also had to build a shared design system from scratch. Enterprise event tech isn't typically built with East African hardware constraints in mind, so I adapted a heavy data architecture while keeping the experience intuitive, modular, and highly performant on 3G networks.

Working across a fast-moving timeline, I also helped drive the core product direction and align cross-functional teams. I worked closely with engineering and business stakeholders to shape everything from the offline syncing mechanics to the day-of-event deployment strategy. My fingerprints are on every part of the product, from the platform architecture to the final mobile interactions.
